The purpose of the job is to answer first line student support queries, to triage with or direct students to the appropriate university support services and to monitor student engagement in order to pre-empt and address any potential retention issues. This is more than an administrative role as you will be providing a friendly ear to students from diverse backgrounds studying all over the globe who will come to rely on you as a first point of contact for questions and issues, from advising them on work-life balance or how to be an effective online learner.
The Student Adviser will attend face-to-face events nationally and internationally to socialise and film the cohort. Full training will be provided in Cambridge and at the partner university site – ability to travel is essential. Customer service and/or HE experience is desirable but not essential. We are primarily looking for a good team player with excellent communication skills.
