Today we are celebrating being named as winners of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – the UK’s highest accolade for business success.
We received our award for Enterprise in International Trade.
This was in recognition of achieving substantial growth in overseas international trade over the last 6 years.
Fergus Brownlee, Chief Executive of Cambridge Education Group, said “We are delighted to receive this award and even more delighted with what we have been able to achieve over the last few years during a global recession.
We have taken Cambridge Education Group from being a small UK platform that has offered programmes to international students since 1952 to a market-leading brand with an international presence.
With a network of over 1,000 global agents supported by specialist sales and marketing departments, we currently sell to over 90 countries and operate high schools in Cambridge, Canterbury, London and Boston, USA, and university pathway centres, and adult and junior English language schools in locations across the UK, mainland Europe and North America.
It is our focus on quality at every stage and the outstanding success of our students that has made us one of the fastest growing independent education providers in the world.
We have in place a strong platform for further expansion which will allow us to progress as an organisation, whilst developing and maintaining local partnerships that will enable us to deliver the highest standards of academic quality our students demand.”
