Over the past week, our Boston programs have welcomed nearly 200 new and returning students for another rigorous yet fun-filled year. At our University transfer program, ONCAMPUS Boston, students were greeted on the campus of Wheelock College, our host University. The campus and its American students are delighted to welcome our international students - our group was greeted with smiles and open arms. As part of orientation, students taped a video message to themselves about how they were feeling upon arrival in Boston. When they depart from our program, they will be able to watch the video again to see firsthand how their English has improved and how much they’ve grown and changed since their arrival.

Throughout their year with us, ONCAMPUS Boston students will receive up to 32 college credits along with ESL preparation allowing them to gain a typical freshman year course load along with added international student support. Students are also educated on higher education in the US and receive transfer guidance and support, helping them decide on institutions to which they will apply. By the end of the program, students progress onto year 2 of a degree program at one of our University partners or any US institution of their choice.

Our younger students enjoyed exploring our high school, CATS Academy Boston, which just completed a round of renovations. Returning students are delighted to see the upgrades and were excited to meet their new classmates. High schoolers from countries all over the world including Albania, Venezuela, Nigeria, China, Brazil, Vietnam, Indonesia and more were welcomed by teachers and staff at the school and shown to their accommodations. Once settled in, students enjoyed fun activities such as a tour around Boston, a visit to the aquarium and even a day at the amusement park. Now that they’ve made friends, they’re ready to go to class and begin their next grade level along with all of their classmates!
