MAML Achievement for Khang Duc Le Harvard Model United Nations conference (January 30 - February 1) Lunar New Year University of Massachusetts High School Art Exhibition

MAML Achievement for Khang Duc Le
CATS Academy Boston has participated in the Massachusetts Association of Mathematics League (MAML) competition which included approximately 2300 students between 64 schools.  The competition resulted in 109 finalists and 149.

CATS Academy is pleased to announce that Khang Duc Le (Khang) received an award for being a semi-finalist.  Khang also won a scholarship at the Worcester Polytechnic Institution (WPI) math competition last semester.  Many congratulations to Khang!

Harvard Model United Nations conference (January 30 – February 1)
CATS Academy Boston Model UN Club will represent CATS Academy at the Harvard Model UN 2014 conference.  The conference is a four-day international relations simulation for high school students held annually in downtown Boston. The conference gives delegates an opportunity to gain insight into the workings of the United Nations and the dynamics of international relations by assuming the roles of UN representatives and members of other international bodies and national cabinets.

Students will take part in numerous debates with world leaders and work together on a resolution to the global issues. CATS Academy students are happy to take advantage of such an opportunity which is both, a great honor and responsibility.

Lunar New Year

Culture Cub has been planning a wonderful event to celebrate the Lunar New Year which will take place on Friday, January 31st. Students will put on a presentation about the Lunar New Year and their cultures, followed by a delicious catered dinner. 

University of Massachusetts High School Art Exhibition
A group of CATS Academy students will be participating in the High School Invitational Art Exhibit for the 2013-14 academic year at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.

The exhibition will present the digital images of student artwork from 4 states and 10 high schools including entries received via the Massachusetts Art Honor Society. The exhibition will be followed by a celebratory closing reception.
