At Cambridge Education Group, we believe the most powerful partnerships are built through shared experiences and a deep understanding of the student journey. That’s why we were proud to recently host a FAM (familiarisation) trip to Ireland through our OnCampus brand, welcoming over 40 international education agents from across the globe.
Agents joined us from countries including Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, China, the Ivory Coast, Zambia, Vietnam, the UAE, and more. Their mission: to explore some of Ireland’s top universities, engage directly with current students, and experience firsthand the vibrant academic and cultural environment that makes studying in Ireland such a compelling choice for international students.
Touring Ireland’s Top Institutions
Over the course of the week, the delegation visited five outstanding institutions:
Each visit offered invaluable insights into campus life, academic strengths, and the innovation driving these institutions forward. From cutting-edge research facilities and industry-focused programmes to impressive sustainability initiatives, these universities showcased Ireland’s commitment to producing career-ready graduates. It was clear that Irish universities for international students are focused on delivering supportive and inclusive learning environments.
Walking in a Student’s Shoes
Agents had the chance to quite literally walk in a student’s shoes, exploring lecture halls, student unions, and accommodation while engaging directly with international students currently studying through OnCampus Ireland. These face-to-face conversations provided authentic perspectives on academic transition, social integration, and the robust support systems in place.
One highlight was the warmth and openness with which each university welcomed the group. This hospitality reflected Ireland’s strong cultural values and created a welcoming space to discuss global education partnerships. Institutions also shared their strategic visions, partnership goals, and commitment to deeper collaboration with recruitment partners around the world.
The trip not only strengthened relationships between OnCampus and our global network of partners, but also reinforced the exceptional quality of international education in Ireland.
Building Future-Focused Partnerships
Our agent partners returned home with renewed energy and clarity. Better equipped than ever to guide students toward the transformative opportunities that await them in Ireland. With stronger understanding and personal experience of Ireland’s university ecosystem, they are empowered to offer personalised, accurate advice.
At Cambridge Education Group, we are proud to connect students worldwide with world-class universities. Through initiatives like this FAM trip, we continue to build lasting bridges between global talent and academic excellence. This ensures that students choosing to study in Ireland have the guidance and insight needed to thrive.
