CEG Director of Learning Design wins prestigious Learning Technology award

Our Director of Learning Design, Leonard Houx, has been awarded the prestigious accolade of Learning Designer of the Year 2022 (Gold Award) by the Learning Technologies Awards.

Leonard joined Cambridge Education Group in July 2022 from Bayes Business School.

The Learning Technology Awards celebrate outstanding learning technologies worldwide, and are some of the most sought-after awards in the industry. They recognise commitment, enthusiasm and passion for learning technologies across the world. Finalists are selected by an independent judging panel of 60 experts organised by the eLearning Network.

This year the awards received 450 entries from around the world.

The judging panel wrote a glowing critique of why Leonard had won the award:

“Leonard provided an inspiring example of the intersection of technology, learning and teaching operating successfully. He has a deep understanding of his learners, and his learning design draws on quality research and theory. The results speak for themselves in above-average retention rates and the academic results of the students. As more educational institutions look to widen access to non-traditional cohorts of learners via digital learning, Leonard’s approach and success in the sector make him a worthy winner.”

This is a fantastic achievement for Leonard and recognition of his excellent learning design practice. At CEG we always strive to provide the highest quality learning experiences for our students, and having Leonard on board will help us maintain the high standards we are known for. Congratulations Leonard!
